#1767 - I see properties listed.

#1768 - The Open Directory guidelines for titles are here: http://editors.dmoz.org/guidelines/describing.html#titles

For business sites, the title should be the official name of the business, which in this case is the Tassi Group, as shown here: http://www.italiancountryhomes.com/profile.php

#1769 - Business sites for food and wines are listed here http://dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/Italy/Business_and_Economy/Shopping/Food/ .

Sites for the sheer pleasure of the stuff have been found a home in http://dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/Italy/Recreation_and_Sports/Food_and_Wine/ , following the pattern of http://dmoz.org/Recreation/Food/ . The category is somewhat unusual in Regional, but I can't comment further.

#1779 - Venetianstore does not look hijacked to me, though it needed a change of description, as it now sells only masks.

can't log in to those guidelines as I am not an editor,

nevertheless there was a thread on an expat forum mentioning especially this company, can't quote, so far on the main page they present themselfs as italian country homes also ICH on several other spots, no address, no nothing, not easy to understand why this Tassi Group is hiding on some inner page, my humble thoughts on that, once again, I am living in Italy, many things are quiet different from what you would expect following whatever guidelines, to say the least :D

sorry have to leave had a tough day, back tomorrow

Domain has two fraudulent links in similar categories

Hi,

the site www. teatre.com has two fraudulent links.

1) Under http://dmoz.org/World/Catal%c3%a0/Arts_i_cultura/Arts_esc%c3%a8niques/Teatre/Companyies/, a link to http:// teatre.com/utopia81/ redirects to a web named "increase traffic"

2) Under http://dmoz.org/World/Catal%c3%a0/Arts_i_cultura/Arts_esc%c3%a8niques/Teatre/ the link to teatre.com allows only to ask for an email account and read it. It has no content.

thanks in advance

#1798 - I removed teatre.com yesterday. I noticed that problem as I was searching the category for teatre.net. Thank you for finding the deep link to teatre.com in the subcategory. That has also gone now. The changes may not show immediately on the public side of the directory.

Please note that when these listings were made, the site had legitimate theatre content, as you can see by looking in the Internet Archive. http://web.archive.org/web/20041022061834/teatre.com/html/index.php

The problem is that sites can change ownership and change content. Businesses can fail. Webmasters can die and sites go dead. The Internet is constantly changing. Which means that any directory needs constant maintenance.

That is why this thread is so helpful to us. Users may notice problems like these, which may be missed by our own automated checks. Thank you again.
