Status of a Pets/Dogs site.

The site is ShowDog.Com and the directory submitted to is Top: Recreation: Pets: Dogs. A former partner was in charge of submitting but doesn't remember the exact date of the submission.

The submission date was June 5, and it's awaiting review in that category. There are a rather large number of other sites awaiting review there, so I'd suggest waiting several month before inquiring again about the status. Should you so inquire, we'd appreciate it if you use this thread again rather than starting a new one.

I guess when the categories editors don't get around to editing such a large category for two entire months, the URLs would obviously start to pile up.

Actually, in most cases, it has to do with the fact that submitters don't take the time to submit to the most specific category. Most editors would rather review and list sites than sort through a large queue of misplaced submissions, so the more general categories can often have longer waits.

I'm not sure what improperly submitted sites have to do with the fact that the category hasn't been updated since May 6th. Are you saying that I submitted to the wrong category? I considered each of the sub-categories but none of them made sense for anything but various interior pages of the site.

Fear not, last update times can be misleading.

 

15 or 20 non-English language or already listed sites were deleted or moved from unreviewed in that category within the past week.

 

The fact that we deal with such things detracts from the time we publish sites.
