yuklun Posted April 24, 2011 Posted April 24, 2011 After I have filled out all the information in the application to be an editor and clicked submit, this error which simply says "Not a valid parameter" comes out. I have no idea what is wrong with my application. Does anybody know why that error appeared?
RZ Admin Elper Posted April 24, 2011 RZ Admin Posted April 24, 2011 I haven't heard of that specific error before, could you try to reproduce it by re-applying (I hope you kept a copy of the application, it's a useful thing to do, both for server glitches, and to refer to if the application is denied). Please post the usual information (editor name, date, category applied for - and if possible the page source of the error page - assuming it goes wrong again). With that amount of information, we should be able to investigate the issue. elper {moz}:curlie: All opinions expressed are my own, and do not necessarily represent the official point of view of the administration of either this forum or the directory.
setevoy Posted February 18, 2013 Posted February 18, 2013 Hi there. Have the same problem now. I dont see any activity in that topic... Topic-paster yuklun solved his problem?
Meta windharp Posted February 18, 2013 Meta Posted February 18, 2013 According to this thread the problem occurs because of the following issue: Not exactly a fix, but a workaround: It seems that the error can arise if you use an email address which either doesn't start with a letter, or consists of only one character before the @ sign. So if you're able to try with a different email address, you may be able to get it to work. Make sure your address begins with a letter (a-z) and has a local part (the bit before the @ sign) of at least two characters. Curlie Meta/kMeta Editor windharp
