kjohansen Posted May 4, 2011 Posted May 4, 2011 I applied as an editor on the 13th February under the username kjohansen. I replied to the email verification successfully, but never received any more information - this may be because the email went to my work email which has pretty strong anti-spam filters. I can change my password though (which obviously sends the verification email to my work email). Link: http://www.dmoz.org/Games/Video_Games/Strategy/Turn-Based/Browser_Based/Risk/ Editor Name: kjohansen Date of Application: 13th February 2011 Whenever I try to login as an editor, it states: "User needs an email address verification before the user can login." How do I resolve this issue? I would prefer the email to go to my personal email account, which I assume I can change once I've logged into the account, but I can't get in there to change it
Meta pvgool Posted May 4, 2011 Meta Posted May 4, 2011 Your application is waiting evaluation. I will not answer PM or emails send to me. If you have anything to ask please use the forum.
RZ Admin Elper Posted May 4, 2011 RZ Admin Posted May 4, 2011 To expand a little, your application will be reviewed (time frame uncertain), and if accepted you will be able to change the email address on your profile. elper {moz}:curlie: All opinions expressed are my own, and do not necessarily represent the official point of view of the administration of either this forum or the directory.
kjohansen Posted May 9, 2011 Author Posted May 9, 2011 Ah right cheers, much appreciated, thanks for the replies
kjohansen Posted July 8, 2011 Author Posted July 8, 2011 Just wondering if my application is still pending, because the email address I used to register the editor account is no longer valid, so I won't be able to read any confirmation email I get
jimnoble Posted July 8, 2011 Posted July 8, 2011 Your Feb 12 application [124471] is no longer pending evaluation and there is no editor account with your requested editorname. I deduce that it was declined. I'm sorry but I can't find any details as to why it was declined. I've also found your Apr 29 application for the same category but with a different editorname. [130005]. It used the same email as the one you use here. That too was declined. I suggest that you try again. If accepted, we'll change your username here to be the same as your editorname. I also suggest that you whitelist all email from the dmoz.org domain in your spam filters.
kjohansen Posted July 8, 2011 Author Posted July 8, 2011 Yeah I made a second username because I knew I was leaving my old workplace, and I couldn't secure email forwarding from them. I also couldn't find a way to cancel the first application, so hopefully you don't think I was trying to get two editor accounts. Anyhow thanks for that. I've reapplied under the username 'circle314', I'll wait a few months see if I get accepted
