motsa Posted June 6, 2011 Posted June 6, 2011 I notice this issue has been ongoing since April. I tried to submit a .co.uk site when I put it live on April 16th and had the same error. I thought it was a temporary glitch but since then have been trying at random times to submit sites with no success. Since review of any given suggested site can take up to several years, a few months (or longer) delay in being able to suggest that site is really not likely to have a great effect on the review time. That's not to say that we don't want to see it fixed, but you have to consider everything in context. I had a look at the communications on maintenance and there was a "DMOZ Scheduled Maintenance Outage March 11th 2010". Given the proximity of this maintenance slot and the issues being experienced, has this update caused the issue and if it did, what plans are in place to roll back the changes to see the issue resolved and a more appropriate timeframe to review what happened. There can be no proximity between a March 11, 2010, maintenance outage and this issue, which first occurred more than a year after that. However, this particular issue *was* an unfortunate side effect of the most recent update made to the system. (The only maintenance notices that are posted on this forum are ones that affect the availability of all or part of the public dmoz.org pages. This particular update did not require an outage of those public pages and so wasn't announced here.) As pvgool has mentioned, we can't post updates that we don't have. AOL is aware of this problem and will fix it whenever it fits into their schedule. We have no control over it, nor do we have any idea when that will be. We will post here when there's an update to the situation -- if no update is posted here, then we have no news to share. Please don't ask.

Whilst one swallow doesn't make a Summer, I've just suggested a .org.uk domain to a UK category and the process seemed to work as expected. I won't know for certain for a coupla days - the time it can take for a listing suggestion to transit the system to the category.

I had experienced the problem (that's when I found this Resource Zone!) and can confirm it is fixed, just submitted my .co.uk site and everything worked fine this time.
