excessive34 Posted March 5, 2011 Posted March 5, 2011 So I submit a website some time ago, probably around 4-5 months. Waited the time period, resubmitted maybe 2 weeks ago? (Not exactly sure) Today while looking through google analytics I see a referral from this link: dmoz.org | /editors/editunrev/editurl I then did a quick search and saw that my website was not listed in dmoz, does this mean it was rejected? (If so I'd be very cury as to why)
Meta hutcheson Posted March 5, 2011 Meta Posted March 5, 2011 Short answer: no. Referer can be spoofed, it never absolutely proves anything. Even if representing a genuine editor visit, it can mean no more than "editor didn't find what he was looking for." This may be good news or bad news or no news at all. It could mean the editor was looking for obvious spam, to do a quick cull and carryout the trash. It could mean the editor was looking for sites related to the topic, and this site more properly belonged to another topic (most suggestions are to the wrong category). It could just mean the editor was interrupted by an injured child (or an angry boss) before completing the review.
excessive34 Posted March 5, 2011 Author Posted March 5, 2011 Haha well whoever it was spent 9 minutes looking through a variety of pages so I guess I can just hope it's good news. I hate to be another annoying poster lol so I do apologize.
