Editor Glitch?

Hi all! So I submitted my application to become an editor a few months ago (I think). Well, just a while ago I was in DMOZ to search the Category I'd wanted to edit http://www.dmoz.org/Arts/Music/Instruments/Stringed/Guitar/Education/ which incidentally hasn't been edited in almost 3 years! :mellow:

 

I saw a thing beside it labelled "edit" so I clicked it without even thinking and a sign-in page came up with username and password already filled in by my browser (Google Chrome). I tried signing in and it told me that my email address needed some form of verification :o

 

Long story short, I wanna know the status of my application if anyone who knows can spare the time to check. I'd much appreciate it because I know I could do a good job for this three years out of date category!

 

The username I applied with was "kaoticnick" - the same one I have on here

When you apply to become an editor, our system makes a sort of placeholder account for you, in effect reserving that ID for you until your application is reviewed. So, while it recognizes the editor name and password you initially chose, it also knows that the account isn't actually active.

 

I'd much appreciate it because I know I could do a good job for this three years out of date category!

You can't tell how recently the category has been edited by the update date at the bottom of the page -- the date is a bit buggy right now.
