Y0yOy0 Posted February 14, 2012 Posted February 14, 2012 Hello everyone! (just felt like saying "hi" since that is my very first post) I've recently applied for an editor position in one of the small Bulgarian language categories.. I've also noticed that almost all of the Bulgarian language categories have no editor (even large categories with 300+ websites). Anyway my question is, is there an active catmod in this language that could approve potential editor applications and if there isn't one how could we get some action going within this language category? Best Regards, Sava Georgiev. Pseudo sig removed
Meta informator Posted February 14, 2012 Meta Posted February 14, 2012 Perhaps there is no active Catmod dedicated to World/Bulgarian at the moment but new editor applications are handled by the international meta team. Curlie (Dmoz) Meta editor informator

Meta informator Posted February 14, 2012 Meta Posted February 14, 2012 The Catmod description is found here: http://www.dmoz.org/guidelines/catmod/ : The purpose of this role is to allow exceptional editors who specialize in a top level category, the ability to become a leader, or moderator, and to oversee the needs of individual category nodes. A Category Moderator should lead forum discussions in their subject, mentor new editors, keep editors on track with reorgs and current events, and essentially be the experts for their given category. Generally Catmods have been editors for some time and have shown dedication to the project, integrity and leadership ability. Curlie (Dmoz) Meta editor informator
