gizliilimler Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Forum site with Dmoz editors are not interested in Turkey. Hi, Dmoz editors of Turkey, "Turkish Dmoz" with the interest in the forum page. Unable to respond to written questions. Do not have a job dealing with this?
jimnoble Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 You might have misunderstood our objectives and how we operate here. ODP is a volunteer organisation building a directory as a hobby. Editors edit where they wish, when they wish and as much as they wish within the constraints of their permissions. We have no schedules or systems to force people to do work that they don't volunteer to do. ODP is not primarily a free listing service for website owners and it does not attempt to process their listing suggestions within the time scales desired by them. As to replying to emails, we discourage this because the resulting conversations all too often end badly. Abuse, threats, mail bombs and actual stalking are not unknown. Useful emails are often acted upon but messages pleading for expedited processsing are generally ignored.
Meta pvgool Posted July 16, 2012 Meta Posted July 16, 2012 I guess gizliilimler means that no editor has been answering questions in the Turkish part of this forum for some time. Like the editing answering questions on the forum is volunteer work. And it seems that at this time there are no Turkish speaking editors active in the forum. Maybe you could try asking the question in English part of the forum (but please do not ask things like "why is my site not listed yet", we will not answer such questions) I will not answer PM or emails send to me. If you have anything to ask please use the forum.
gizliilimler Posted July 16, 2012 Author Posted July 16, 2012 Thank you and pvgool jimnoble. Of course, you're right, I agree with you. This voluntary work. Why criticize my issue is that there are interested in Turkish Forum. Do not have an opinion as a red herring. Edilmesinide ODP do not want to accept in our system, I am responding to my application but I do not have a positive or negative. Types of illegal methods have included a multi-site .. There are many sites listed in two separate categories .. Good luck ..
gizliilimler Posted July 16, 2012 Author Posted July 16, 2012 pvgool, thank you for answers that you provide Turkısh forum. You can see whether a long time to respond if you pay attention Asked Questions forum.
RZ Admin Elper Posted July 17, 2012 RZ Admin Posted July 17, 2012 There are many sites listed in two separate categoriesThis isn't always a problem, as by editor discretion a same site may be listed in several categories when it is relevant to them. Generally, once in Topical (what they do), once in Regional (where they are) and also in the different languages found on the site. Some topics like Shopping and Real Estate have stricter guidelines on multiple listings. If you spot something that is really wrong (same site under different url's in same category, site in wrong category, re-purposed, etc.) you can post in the Quality Control thread and someone will look into it. elper {moz}:curlie: All opinions expressed are my own, and do not necessarily represent the official point of view of the administration of either this forum or the directory.
