Ruth629 Posted July 18, 2003 Posted July 18, 2003 I checked the directory today for my listing and am shocked to see that it does not appear to be listed now. I realize that DMOZ is going through an update, and I am wondering if this is the reason my site is not listed. It had been listed for over three years. Does anyone have any advice? Thank you!
uzs980 Posted July 18, 2003 Posted July 18, 2003 If you don't tell us the URLs of your site and the category in question, it will be hard to tell anything. (And if you tell us these, it might still take some days, because the editing databases are not accessible at the moment due to technical updates.) Robert
Guest Posted July 18, 2003 Posted July 18, 2003 Sites get delisted all the time, usually for very good reasons.
Guest curvity Posted July 24, 2003 Posted July 24, 2003 If your site is newer to DMOZ, it may be missing because the public version of the directory is not current. Since the technology upgrade began, they have reverted to an older version of the directory that does not include many of the newly added sites. I have added about 40 new sites to my category since May. Many of these sites appeared throughout June, but when the update began, all 40 disappeared. They weren't lost, however. I can still see them in my editor view. Hopefully when the upgrade is complete, there will be a wonderful, new version of the directory including lots of new sites! Hope this helps :-)
