What to submit in 'master' categories ?

Option to become volunteer of some master categories is present on ODP.

For instance, take this: http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Asia/India/Uttar_Pradesh/Districts/

 

This is a master category, URLs cannot be submitted directly in this category, we have to move further in sub-category.

So when we are filling up Editor application form for these categories, Which type of URLs we should submit ?

because Practically no URL can be submitted in this category.

Most probably "become an editor" should be disabled in such categories.

The category you give as example does have the "suggest and url" link enabled, so in theory sites can be suggested.

Although I doubt any will ever be klisted.

When you would try to suggest a site to this category you will clearly be asked

To speed up the listing of sites, please do not submit sites to this Districts category; see if a more appropriate subcategory exists for a particular district, and submit the website there.

We trust people to read all information we provide. Unluckely many people do not, which is a major reason why it sometimes takes years before a site is reviewed.

As that category will (to my guess) never have any websites listed my guess is that the application will be rejected.

But I do not have rights to view and process applications for that category so my guess might be wrong.

Just wait. Things in DMOZ take time.

Oh, If what you are guessing is right then It's very bad for me. Amazing things are happening with me Every time I apply to Volunteer.

 

Well, May be this is what we call Life.

Regional category guidelines - in Regional we list websites based on where they are physicaly located, so region like Uttar Pradesh will only hold websites about the region itself and for comapanies with multiple physical locations (locations only this region and not in other regions of India), almost all websites will be listed in the city category. You can find the locations/cities for which we already have a category in English in http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Asia/India/Uttar_Pradesh/Localities/

 

Keep in mind: do NOT submit a new application (using a different email) until the current application is processed. This is a major breach of our guidelines.

Please give me some more chance. I know it increase the work load but please, Check what was said in Previous email, I was very close and when I re-applied I was asked not to do again.

Two times I was very close but due to some 'amazing' issues I was asked to apply again.

I respect opinions of Editors but I am requesting not arguing :)I would do anything you ask me to do to get more chances, like: reporting all bugs and issues etc.I, from bottom of my heart want to Join ODP. I would never give up
