cannot find 'become and editor' link

I'm interested in becoming an editor in: /Shopping/Home_and_Garden/Floors/

However, I'm unable to find the "become an editor" link. Does it exist on this page?

As in many larger categories, we turned it off to suggest that new editors start in a smaller category. That makes life much easier for the new editor, until he made himself comfortable with our editing system. Editing rights for (additional) larger categories can be requested later, using our internal system.

This appeared to be a small category to me. Can you give me an example of a small category similar to this one?

431 listings is much too large for a beginner

 

Next time, please do as the application form advises and select one with fewer than 100 listings. Ideally, it should also have 15 or more listings so that you have the scope to learn the job.

Please remember that a category automatically includes all subcategories. Which in this case - as jimnoble already pointed out - sums up to 431 listings.
