cooltrends Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Hello, I submited my site I dont how long anymore but, its been a while on the following category: http://www.dmoz.org/..._y_directorios/ My url is <URL removed> Can someone tell me how long it its been and how long to get listed? Thanks
cooltrends Posted February 20, 2013 Author Posted February 20, 2013 So, what I have to do to know? Is my site ever going to listed?
jimnoble Posted February 20, 2013 Posted February 20, 2013 Nothing. We shan't know until some editor has volunteered to process it.
Meta pvgool Posted February 20, 2013 Meta Posted February 20, 2013 You can ofcourse read the guidelines http://www.dmoz.org/docs/en/guidelines/include.html these describe which kind of sites we do list and which kind we do not list I will not answer PM or emails send to me. If you have anything to ask please use the forum.
MariaV Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 I share this same frustration. . . I just submitted my site for the 3rd time today. The last time I submitted it was back in December, and still no listing and no word. I know I'm in the right category with my site (<url removed>) -- I submitted it to the Electronic Cigarettes category under Shopping-Tobacco-Cigarettes, as there are 12 other e-cigarette companies in there. With the amount of competition in this category and so few that are listed here, it makes me question who's admitting new sites to the DMOZ, and how fair these editors are. Meta pvgool Posted February 23, 2013 Meta Posted February 23, 2013 The same answers that have been given over and over again still apply. And BTW the guidelines clearly say to suggest a website only ONCE. Everytime after that is one step towards being marked as a spammer. I will not answer PM or emails send to me. If you have anything to ask please use the forum.
RZ Admin Elper Posted February 27, 2013 RZ Admin Posted February 27, 2013 As you can imagine, there are a significant number of suggestions awaiting review in Electronic_Cigarettes... It's not an easy category, which is why new editor applications are turned off there - If it interests you, and you think you can edit in a fair, unbiased manner, you could apply to be an editor in Roll_Your_Own to start with. elper {moz}:curlie: All opinions expressed are my own, and do not necessarily represent the official point of view of the administration of either this forum or the directory.
