adamlang Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 What is the process for a bulk upload of a large number of sites? I manage the marketing for over 100 physician's websites and would like to know if there was an easier way than than manual one by one submission process? Is there a way to send over an excel spreadsheet with the formatted fields? Also what is the process for edits? Can this be done the same way? Thanks, Adam
jimnoble Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 Quote What is the process for a bulk upload of a large number of sites? There isn't one. Quote Is there a way to send over an excel spreadsheet with the formatted fields? No. Quote Also what is the process for edits? Editors edit. Website promoters can only suggest listings and suggest updates to them. Our systems are intended so that people can suggest individual websites to the appropriate categories. Physicians are listed in their localities so it's unlikely that they'd all belong in the same category. If you're being paid to suggest websites, please do so to the best of your abilities without hoping that our hard pressed and much maligned editors will be happy to do the job for you. Our editor guidelines and a look at existing listings should help you to write acceptable titles and descriptions.
adamlang Posted March 11, 2013 Author Posted March 11, 2013 Thanks for the update on this. Is there any development plans in the future for this? I know Google places, Yelp, Webmd, etc all have the bulk upload feature and it really is a time saver when doing a number of these. Plus it makes edits a breeze.
jimnoble Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Quote Is there any development plans in the future for this? Not that I'm aware of. As I said already, only editors can actually list websites in the directory and amend those listings. That's what 'human edited' means .
