Hi, I submitted an application today but I haven't received any email confirmation request from DMOZ. I have tried the forgot password and successfully changed the password, but when I try to login it says:

User needs an email address verification before the user can login.

My username is: mzebs

Editor Name: Mubarak Zeb

Applied under category: /Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/England/Bedfordshire/Luton/

Generally, if you don't receive an email asking you to confirm your editor application, there is a problem and you'll have to try again.

Keeping a copy of the application can be useful for that, and also to understand a possible rejection mail and reviewer comments...

" User needs an email address verification before the user can login. "

This message means you are not an editor (yet).

The editor name is known by the system but can not login. It needs to be verified/activated by a meta/catmod. This will be done when the application is accepted.

You should have got a mail, with reviewer comments - essentially, the category was too large to start in - just pick a smaller one (ie. a subcategory) and apply again :2cents:

It's still there - There's really no need to re-request the status, you'll get a mail whatever the decision when it's reviewed.
