Becoming an Editor

Last month I put through an application to become an editor of the Aviation Software category.

 

Category - dmoz.org/Shopping/Recreation/Aviation/Software/

Editor name - Mike Delta

Date applied - 7/09/15

 

I haven't yet received any further communication after confirming my email and wanted to enquire as to the status of my application please?

i have applied about two weeks ago to edit the category: "world: Hrvatski: Poslovanje: Građevinarstvo i Održavanje"

(editor name Matija Bukal Hetrich, username: matijabh), but until now i didn't get any news from dmoz (not even a conformation mail).

 

Can someone check the status please?

It seems not to have entered the system. You need to confirm your application through an e-mail that is sent out. If you did not recieve the e-mail it may have been blocked by a spam filter. Please make a new application.

Hi again,

 

I'm having a problem with applying, i tried from 3 different emails and still didn't get the mail to confirm my email.

First it was gmaill, than my sites mail, than AOL... I don't think its the spam filter. Please help... is there a different way to apply/confirm my mail?

No, there is no other way, you need to confirm through mail. Gmail and AOL should work fine.

I'll try again, but as mentioned previously I did not receive any mail from dmoz not in spam not in inbox for neither of my email addresses. Could you please advise how to proceed to get this resolved?

Hi Matija, as mentioned above, you need to click that link

There is no way for us to know where the process is going wrong - these symptoms are usually the confirmation mail being eaten as spam, but no idea where or why

Stick with Gmail I think. Try adding no-reply@dmoz.org to your contacts. Then try a different browser, computer, web proxy, and category.

Be sure to mention this conversation in the application(s); under Reason, for example.

Post back here when you get a result (or not).
