Rian Saunders Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 (edited) Dear Dmoz Members / Editors I've been checking in daily to see if our submission has been approved, after reading various forums, I now realize that some categories could take many weeks or even months before a submission will be reviewed. 1. Does smaller categories take longer to get reviewed? For example: Africa > Business and Economy > Agriculture... there are many useful websites (companies, resources, products etc), yet only three listings appear. 2. How long before you resubmit, assuming that your submission was reviewed and rejected? I submitted the following: ExploGrow Organic Microbial Bio-fertilizer: A natural plant growth stimulant and soil ameliorant containing 17 agri beneficial microbes suitable for sustainable agriculture and organic farming. This fertilizer is fully approved by governments in Africa. To this category: dmoz.org/Regional/Africa/Business_and_Economy/Agriculture/ Any recommendations? Many thanks! Meta mollybdenum Posted February 29, 2016 Meta Posted February 29, 2016 The editor who reviews the site suggestion will rewrite the item to guidelines, so there is no need to worry over that. As for getting listed, it can take anywhere from a few days to years. When an editor chooses to edit in that category they will do so. There is really no need to check everyday, that is a waste of time that could be spent otherwise. A listing in DMOZ is not that important, despite some rumors on the web about it. I will not answer PM or emails sent to me. If you have anything to ask please use the forum.
Meta informator Posted February 29, 2016 Meta Posted February 29, 2016 ... and DO NOT resubmit. One suggestion is enough. Curlie (Dmoz) Meta editor informator
