jmh649 Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Hey All. Am from Wikipedia. There might be interest in taking on DMOZ. We at Wikipedia like your work. What is the best way to discuss this sort of thing? How big is the DMOZ community? Could it be run on a wiki? Who owns the logo, name, and stuff? BTW am user Doc James on Wikipedia.

Editall/Catmv arubin Posted March 27, 2017 Editall/Catmv Posted March 27, 2017 My recollection is that DMOZ's licensing terms are incompatible with Wikipedia's, but, if the Foundation is interested, they can contact the Admin team. I don't think negotiations between groups with no power (e.g., Wikipedia edtiors and (former) DMOZ editors) would have much affect.
RZ Admin Elper Posted March 28, 2017 RZ Admin Posted March 28, 2017 For the record, on RZ the "admin team" is @Russ D @rpfuller @photofox @lisagirl @Elper @bldarter (no particular order, also some admins don't have accounts at RZ) elper {moz}:curlie: All opinions expressed are my own, and do not necessarily represent the official point of view of the administration of either this forum or the directory.
