Alucard Posted July 26, 2003 Posted July 26, 2003 Re: Status inquiry Awaits review along with well over 100 other sites in that category, I'm afraid. This could take a while... I would leave it at least a couple of months before enquiring again, should you so wish.

socialhuman Posted April 25, 2004 Author Posted April 25, 2004 Review status of http://www.smallbusiness-start.com The basic submission stats: Web site submitted: http://www.smallbusiness-start.com/ Submitted on: 28-5-03 Submitted to: http://www.dmoz.org/Business/Small_Business/Start_Up/ Why the site should be included in DMOZ directory: 1. It is non-commercial site with focus on business education. All key issues of starting a small business with greatest chances of success are included. These issues had been researched seriously before being written upon, and is being frequently reviewed and improved. 2. To support the time spent on research and writing, as well as the costs of maintaining the site, some monetary income is needed. At present, Google AdSense ads provide a little income. To make the Web site self-supporting, much more visitor traffic is needed. A DMOZ listing could provide increased traffic. Would the above considerations have any weight with DMOZ editors? Could the site be reviewed soon?
bobrat Posted April 25, 2004 Posted April 25, 2004 Sorry no change in status Would the above considerations have any weight with DMOZ editors? Could the site be reviewed soon? No, it make no difference. There is no difference in reviewing commercial and non-commercial sites except as regards choice of categroy. Use of ads on sites is ignored, and the site is reviewed as to content without ads, sites whose only purpose is to display ads would be rejected. Sites are reviewed when an editor chooses to, and cannot be given priority from requests here. [Priority is given to hijacked and grossly misplaced sites, but not to sites waiting review] There are hundreds of thousands of other sites whose owners want them reviewed ASAP.
