Localized websites with the same content

I have noticed that all of the following websites are created and maintained by the same company with City name, Map and other minimal changes:

http://www.albuquerque-apartments.com/

http://www.atlantapartments4rent.com/

http://www.apartments-cincinnati.com/

http://www.cleveland-apartments.net/

and many more.

Is this Abusing DMOZ?

Thanks for those. A quick investigation revealed several hundred others all the same. We don't care how many domains a company has, as long as they only submit one. These people have submitted several, and that constitutes abuse. I've checked them all out now, and their number of listings has been dramatically reduced.

Thanks for looking into this issue and responding quickly. I agree that there were several hunderds of those sites with very similar content.

 

I have noticed the following sites with multiple URLs:

*) Homestore.com is a HUGE company with many subsidiaries - Springstreet.com, Homebuilder.com, Realtor.com and many others. But, all of the subsidiaries come under the same company. Somehow, there were many links for Homestore and its Subsidiaries in DMOZ.

*) AIM Relocation has some links under its main domain, some under its parent company and other domains. I think, some of these links are probably not good any more.

 

I am just informing about my findings based on my little research (not complaining!). Please review them and take appropriate action, if needed.
