Guest Posted July 15, 2002 Posted July 15, 2002 Hello, this is my first post here; please bear with me. I have been trying to update the url of one of my sites on ODP. It has a broken link as I changed the pages from .html to .php. Also wanted to change two words in the description. I use the submit form in the category under which this site is listed. When I hit the submit button, get the message that this is a Bad Category. This update should be simple enough and don't see what I'm doing wrong. Any help? Thanks, Helene
Meta arlarson Posted July 16, 2002 Meta Posted July 16, 2002 Please post the link to the dmoz page at issue.
Guest Posted July 16, 2002 Posted July 16, 2002 the url is www.webworldweaver.com/index.html Want to change index.html to index.php and change a few words in the description. Mmmm, I could swear posted a reply a while back but did not see it here when I checked back.
Guest Posted July 16, 2002 Posted July 16, 2002 You are currently listed in http://dmoz.org/Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Designers/Dynamic_and_Multimedia/B/ without any index page (listed as www.webworldweaver.com - which will pick whatever your default page is). All sites in web designers have been or are in the process of being split to new sub categories, which may explain the bad category message. /images/icons/smile.gif
Guest Posted July 16, 2002 Posted July 16, 2002 Thanks for the info, gimmster. It's possible that the link was giving a page cannot be found because of the split that was underway. Just clicked on the link at the category and everything is working fine now. Thanks again.
