Meta tuisp Posted August 2, 2003 Meta Posted August 2, 2003 I just tried to submit the site to this category, and it went well. Just try again (I deleted it afterwards to let you submit your own suggested title and description)
Guest codermark Posted August 22, 2003 Posted August 22, 2003 Please give me a hand.............. I just tried to submit the site to this category, and it went well. Just try again (I deleted it afterwards to let you submit your own suggested title and description) tuisp , Thanks for your reply, but it's a real frustrating story, after I submit this post, I read a reply http://www.resource-zone.com/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=status&Number=38777&Forum=All_Forums&Words=bcchinese&Match=Entire%20Phrase&Searchpage=0&Limit=25&Old=1year&Main=38775&Search=true#Post38777 and resubmit my request, then looks the system like it. But half month passed, there is still nothing, and I try submit it again, and system accepted again! does that means the last submit just disapperd and I had waited for nothing for half a month an again. God.... It's half years ago I began to submit my site, and now looks I am still in nowhere. Dear Editors , give me a hand , just put my site in, I don't mind the beautiful & elegent description. Just let my site in. Thank you. -- a lost web master / code writer Mark
brmehlman Posted August 22, 2003 Posted August 22, 2003 Re: Please give me a hand.............. The suggestion was received this time, and awaits review in the indicated category along with fewer than a small number of others. The absence of other submissions in the category is encouraging but, not being able to even load the character set let alone read the language, I can make no guesses about any prognosis.
laosan Posted August 23, 2003 Posted August 23, 2003 Re: Please give me a hand.............. Hi all, this is laosan, the editor of http://dmoz.org/World/Chinese_Simplified/%b5%d8%c7%f8/%b1%b1%c3%c0%d6%de/. To clear things out, the fact is, the site never reached the said category, till today I login in and found the site waiting at unreviewed section. and fellow tuisp's link I am here. BTW, the site added, with "beautiful & elegent description".
Guest codermark Posted August 23, 2003 Posted August 23, 2003 Thanks a lot, tuisp and Laosan but.... Meta tuisp Posted August 23, 2003 Meta Posted August 23, 2003 Re: Thanks a lot, tuisp and Laosan but.... You can see it listed here, which is the editor version of the public page World: Chinese Simplified: ??: ???: ???: ??????. The public pages are in the process of being updated (could still take some time, hard to tell how much). As for searching, the search function indexes have not been updated yet (could take a week or two), and you can't find the site through it at this moment. Please note when you search again that you have to search for 'bcchinese.net' (as you said), not 'http://www.bcchinese.net/'.
Guest codermark Posted August 25, 2003 Posted August 25, 2003 Thanks Yes, I found the site in the list. tuisp, Laosan thanks a million! Just a fun article for all pals here.(from codeproject ______________ Why programmers shouldn't date. nssone 13:53 23 Jun '03 Copyright © CodeProject Can anyone help with this software problem my friend is experiencing? Eighteen months ago he upgraded to Girlfriend 1.0 from Drinking Mates 4.2 which he'd used for years without any trouble. However, there are apparently conflicts between these two products and the only solution was to try and run Girlfriend 1.0 with the sound turned off. To make matters worse, Girlfriend 1.0 is also incompatible with several other applications, such as Lads Night Out 3.1, Football 2 and Playboy 6.1. Successive versions of Girlfriend proved no better. A shareware beta-program, Party Girl 2.1 had many bugs and left a virus in his system, forcing him to shut down completely for several weeks. Eventually he tried to run Girlfriend 1.2 and Girlfriend 1.0 at the same time, only to discover that when these two systems detected each other they caused severe damage to all his hardware. Sensing a way out, he upgraded to Fiancée 1.0 only to discover that this product has to be upgraded to Wife 1.0. He did this largely because, whilst Wife 1.0 uses up all available resources, it does come bundled with FreeSex Plus and Cleanhouse 2000. However my friend discovered that Wife 1.0 can be very unstable and costly to run. For example, any mistakes he made were automatically stored in Wife 1.0's memory and could not be deleted, they then resurfaced months later. Wife 1.0 also has an automatic Diary Explorer and E-mail porn filter, and can, without warning, launch Photostrop and Whingezip. These latter products have no helpfiles and he has to try and guess the problem himself. Additional costly problems are that the Wife 1.0 bundle that came with the original system needs updating regularly, requiring Shoe Shop Browser Pro for new attachments and Hairstyle Express needs to be reinstalled every other week. It also conflicted with some of the new games he wanted to try, stating that they are an illegal operation. When Wife 1.0 attaches itself to his Audi TT programme it often crashes or runs the system dry. Wife 1.0 also has a rather annoying pop-up called Mother-in-Law, which can't be turned off. Recently he's been tempted to try Mistress 2000, but there could be problems, if Wife 1.0 detects the presence of Mistress 2000 it will delete all MS Money files before un-installing itself.
