Submitted April 5 in Computers: Software: Business

Thanks!

Erk! You are in a very large unreviewed queue.

Your best bet is to submit to the Business and Economy section in Arlington, Virginia, since that's where your office is located. You will get listed there *much* faster. (Add "Located in Arlington, Virginia" to the description, since your address isn't obvious at first. That will let the Regional editor know that you belong there.)

Given the shopping nature of the site, I don't think Computers/Software/Business is the best cat on the topical side anyways.... I think Computers/Software/Retailers/ is probably better. Its queue is at least a little smaller, but you'll probably get listed in Arlington quicker...

Thanks very much to both of you for the feedback. I agree--Computers/Software/Retailers is probably the most accurate location to be listed in. Is it possible to submit to Arlington just to get listed and then request a subsequent change to Retailers? Or should I just submit to Retailers and wait?

Thanks again for your help.

After resubmitting to the other categories as was suggested here, I did eventually get added to Computers: Software: Retailers on September 24. I never seemed to have gotten into the search engine, though, and now I seem to have disappeared from the directory too. Does anyone know what may have happened?

Re: Status of http://www.mbaware.com/

The notes do say that it was deleted yesterday, by a different editor to the one who added it the week before. The search function is only updated about once per week, that is why the site never made it to search.

The notes say that it was deleted because it is a 'Yahoo Store'. Since I am NOT a shopping editor I will leave it to someone from that part of the directory to explain further what that means.

Re: Status of http://www.mbaware.com/

Thanks very much for the feedback. I was very surprised to hear that being a Yahoo Store is the reason listed for why the site was deleted. I checked some other threads related to Yahoo Stores and see that some others have had similar problems, but it appears that most of their sites eventually were listed.

I chose Yahoo Store because of its credentials for e-commerce hosting and development. There are over 16,000 Yahoo Stores including numerous prominent and smaller stores that are currently listed on ODP including Crabtree&Evelyn, Pepsi Cola Store, Sony Picture's Studio Store, the Guggenheim store, Vermont Teddy Bear and many others. Yahoo Store received an Editor's Choice at CNET and a recommendation in Fortune.

Any more detail anyone has on why this would cause the site to be deleted would be greatly appreciated.
