Guest paloalto Posted July 31, 2002 Posted July 31, 2002 If your site is listed in one category, but is better suited for another, what's the best strategy for doing this? An update URL request for where it's currently at? Or submitting and ADD URL in the new category? I don't want the editors thinking that I'm spamming when submitting it for a new category when it's already listed. Thanks.
totalxsive Posted July 31, 2002 Posted July 31, 2002 You should use the Update URL and ask for the site to be moved in this case. Making another Add URL request may mean that the new submission is deleted. Note that unless the site is moved by an editor who can edit in both categories, the site will be removed from the public directory and will await a re-review in the target category. Could you post the URL and a clickable link to the category where it is listed, please?
Guest paloalto Posted July 31, 2002 Posted July 31, 2002 The URL is http://www.bplans.com/ and it's listed in http://dmoz.org/Business/Venture_Capital/Resources_for_Entrepreneurs/ I was hoping it could be moved to http://dmoz.org/Business/Small_Business/Finance/Business_Plans/ because the site is primarily focused on business planning specifically, opposed to just being an entrepreneurial resource. Thanks.
