Guest lpayal Posted September 8, 2003 Posted September 8, 2003 Dear Editor, I have my site www.juniorszone.com listed in DMOZ in the (Regional: Europe: United Kingdom: Education: Primary Schools: Key Stage 2) category. Can i get listed in kids and teens category too. My site offers excellent content for kids of the age group 7 to 11. If yes........please guide me..... Thanks Juniorszone-Online supplementary primary education, Key Stage 2 Literacy and Numeracy, for kids
Meta hutcheson Posted September 8, 2003 Meta Posted September 8, 2003 We need a clickable link to the CATEGORY, please. The link to the site doesn't need to be clickable at all. (We're looking at ODP records, not doing a site review!)
Guest lpayal Posted September 9, 2003 Posted September 9, 2003 My site www.juniorszone.com is listing already in the http://dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Education/Primary_Schools/Key_Stage_2/ And I wish to get listed in the http://dmoz.org/Kids_and_Teens/School_Time/ too. Kindly advise.
Meta hutcheson Posted September 9, 2003 Meta Posted September 9, 2003 Are you sure the site is up? I'm getting timeouts trying to access it...from a U.S. college server with a good trunk connection.
donaldb Posted September 9, 2003 Posted September 9, 2003 I'm not having any problem seeing the site from a crappy DSL connection
ishtar Posted September 10, 2003 Posted September 10, 2003 The site is working for me on a crappy college server.
brmehlman Posted September 10, 2003 Posted September 10, 2003 It works for me on a high quality (< 1km loop, consistently over 1 MB/sec) DSL connection. But it looks a bit too commercial for a listing in Kids and Teens. I'm guessing that it probably won't be listed there, and that you should be content with the listing you've got.
motsa Posted September 11, 2003 Posted September 11, 2003 Given that children can only access the content after their school has registered, the site really isn't ideal for a Kids and Teens listing. By the way, I tried to take the tour for kids and got SQL errors or "Session timed out" messages trying to do anything after the joystick/mouse screen. Just something to look into.
tweedy7736 Posted September 24, 2003 Posted September 24, 2003 To reiterate what others have said here, your site cannot be listed in Kids&Teens because it is a commercial site. Only sites that are free resources targeted primarily at kids, teens or both will be listed in our directory. Sorry
