Status of Editor Application

Over a month ago, I applied to be the editor of a very small category:

 

http://dmoz.org/Society/Religion_and_Spirituality/Christianity/Denominations/Catholicism/People/Teens/

 

The category has no sub-categories, and only contains about 10 links. Many of the descriptions for the sites listed there are very poorly written. They do not abide by the ODP guidelines.

 

The parent category does not have an editor. Is that why I am still waiting for a reply? After emailing my confirmation email, I received a reply stating, "You will receive a reply as soon as your application has been reviewed." I have not heard from them.

 

Could someone please see if my application is still in the queue?

It is not. The category editor (if there were one) would not review your application; a meta-editor will.

Unless the parent category editor was also a meta editor, of course <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />.

 

But in any case, this doesn't apply, as hutcheson says.

(I guess using the word "queue" is a bit misleading, by the way. When I look at new applications, I sort them by category and only look at apps for the parts of the directory I'm reasonably familiar with. This means that applications aren't neccessarily handled in the order they arrive.)
