Guest usenetusenet Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 Submitted to http://dmoz.org/Computers/Usenet/Web_Based/ TIA!
uzs980 Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 That site was listed back in 2000/2001, but it seems it went dysfunctional then and the listing was deleted. It is now waiting for review again, submitted on November 5th.
Guest usenetusenet Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 I thought it was added years ago, but then when I check recently I saw it was gone. Gremlins? No worries, but can you: -give me an idea where it is "in line"? -how long I should wait (if still not listed) before asking for status in this forum again? Thank you for your valuable time.
lachenm Posted December 4, 2003 Posted December 4, 2003 Since there is no "line," we can't tell you where your place is. Editors can sort unreviewed sites in several ways, and they aren't required to process suggestions in any particular order, regardless of how they are sorted. What we can tell you is that your site is waiting with fewer than 10 others in that category. In answer to your second question, as the Forum Guidelines request, please wait a calendar month between update requests, and please use this same thread. Thanks.
Guest usenetusenet Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 OK I've waited a calendar month since my last request and my website is still not listed. This website used to be listed years ago (as mentioned in earlier posts) and then was disappeared for some unknown reason. Status? I'm losing traffic!! :-(
yapuka Posted January 5, 2004 Posted January 5, 2004 Hello, Since your site contains (or at least provides access to) adult content, it has been moved to a category in that part of the directory. Could a moderator move this thread to the Adult Forum? You can ask permission for this forum by making a request here.
Guest usenetusenet Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 Hi, Adult content? What is DMOZ defining as adult? The newsgroups I'm giving access to are all the regular newsgroups with pictures of trains, cars, comics, anime, etc. I'd like it placed in the category it was originally in years ago, especially since it has all the same (or better) content as before.
yapuka Posted January 6, 2004 Posted January 6, 2004 Hello, On the first page of your site, you state: Disclaimer: Due to the often graphic nature of Usenet, this web site is intended for ADULTS ONLY Your suggestion is now awaiting review in http://editors.dmoz.org/Adult/Computers/Usenet/ . <edit> I double-checked your site and found: http://www.nailnews.com:83/$$lst?group=alt.binaries.pictures . This is definitely adult content ! </edit>
Guest usenetusenet Posted February 6, 2004 Posted February 6, 2004 Has been 30 days later since this message thread moved to ADULT forum, but am still not listed in DMOZ. Status?
