Guest browser007 Posted December 12, 2003 Posted December 12, 2003 I wrote some applications to extract and combine data of the two RDF dumps. Can (may) I offer this data via XML feed to other Webmasters?
Meta hutcheson Posted December 12, 2003 Meta Posted December 12, 2003 Re: Proposal: may I offer DMOZ data via XML feed?. Read the license: http://dmoz.org/license.html . You can do anything you want with it, provided if you publish it as a directory, you give the required attributions. You can charge any amount you want for this service, limited only by the fact that anyone else can get the data free and do their own munging, provided the other folk who use your hacked copy accept the same license. (You can impose other obligations on them through your own license, however. This license is not viral like the GPL.)
nakulgoyal Posted April 11, 2004 Posted April 11, 2004 Re: I would love this data if you can offer !!
debjitk Posted June 3, 2004 Posted June 3, 2004 I would like to have this data if you offer I am quite interested in your solution at the same time i wouild like to know how much memory is required on system to parse the data since i am trying to write a parser in VB which will insert odp data in SQL Server. My code is somewhat done, but it takes too.... long to load the data since i have only 128 megs of ram on my system. Debjit Kar debjitk@hotmail.com
whats_up_skip Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 Ardice, how long have you had the site going for? It looks like Google Adsense & Amazon are having trouble matching the correct ads to the topics on the pages. Are you making this xml feed available to others?
