Guest Posted September 9, 2002 Posted September 9, 2002 Can you update me on the status? Submitted several time to different categories all related to material handling and casters. Kept going up the list to levels with editors. Description: Casters of Oklahoma ergonomic material handling, Colson wheel casters, Roach conveyors, hand trucks and dock equipment. dfy Posted September 9, 2002 Posted September 9, 2002 Since your site doesn't seem to have a global scope, you're probably better off submitting to somewhere in .http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/Oklahoma/. The editors around there have less unreviewed sites to chew through so they would probably get to it faster. I'd suggest cutting down on the keywords though, submissions like that make us all cringe.
Guest Posted September 10, 2002 Posted September 10, 2002 Though Casters of Oklahoma's main warehouse facility is physically located in Tulsa, Oklahoma products are sold worldwide. Can you tell me how many entries are in queu for http://dmoz.org/Business/Industrial_Goods_and_Services/Industrial_Supply/Casters_and_Wheels/ or http://dmoz.org/Business/Industrial_Goods_and_Services/Industrial_Supply/Materials_Handling/? Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
apeuro Posted September 10, 2002 Posted September 10, 2002 Your site is eligible for both a Business and Regional listing.
Meta hutcheson Posted September 10, 2002 Meta Posted September 10, 2002 Just pick the right category, and don't worry how many sites are in it. An Oklahoma category is "right" because your place of business is there. The Casters category looks "not right" to me, because you have a number of other "materials handling" products. So don't submit there. Remember that if you submit it to the wrong category, it goes through that whole queue, then gets shipped to the right category and may get to wait in THAT queue. Note also that there's no predicting which order the queue will be reviewed in. Some editors do "chronological" order. I hardly ever do -- I'll happily delete obvious spam first, then I'll look for submittals that look like "honest description of site that probably really belongs here." (Often, these can be reviewed easily and added quickly.)
Guest Posted October 1, 2002 Posted October 1, 2002 Thank you for your input. I have resubmitted the site to the oklahoma regional listing but hope to also be included in the casters or material handling listing as well. Do you know if my previous listings are still in the que or do I need to resubmit to one of these categories?
