HayMeadows Posted January 14, 2004 Posted January 14, 2004 On 12/5/03 we submitted this site to: http://dmoz.org/Business/Financial_Services/Mortgages/Regional/United_States/Indiana/ Status please? Thanks, you guys rock :-)
Guest Posted January 14, 2004 Posted January 14, 2004 Sorry, not going to be listed. Where's the original content? Myers Internet has a jillion sites out there like yours.
HayMeadows Posted January 20, 2004 Author Posted January 20, 2004 Almost all the content on the site is original, written by my client. There are an awful lot of myers sites though, huh? Wowsa!
HayMeadows Posted January 26, 2004 Author Posted January 26, 2004 Do we agree there is more than enough original content for this particular site to get listed? Thanks for your help, as always!
Meta hutcheson Posted January 26, 2004 Meta Posted January 26, 2004 Re: Status of http://www.thelendingprofessionals.c If this URL should be the Myers site, then you should submit a "change URL" request. Make sure that there is some indication on the current site that it has moved to the new address. Alternatively, you could get the current Myers site to link to this one. In neither case does the ODP need two listings for the same company's offerings. We don't care who wrote the content. One company, one line of business, we'll be looking to give it at most one listing.
HayMeadows Posted January 27, 2004 Author Posted January 27, 2004 Re: Status of http://www.thelendingprofessionals.c Sounds like this thread confused you a bit hutcheson. We are not Myers, we only use their website template services and added our own original content. We are looking to get a listing for our own site (the only one our company has), http://www.thelendingprofessionals.com. Thanks!
HayMeadows Posted March 3, 2004 Author Posted March 3, 2004 Re: Status of http://www.thelendingprofessionals.c Still looking for this to be listed, it is 90% unique in its content. Help anyone?
Alucard Posted March 3, 2004 Posted March 3, 2004 Re: Status of http://www.thelendingprofessionals.c I would like to refer you to the guidelines for this forum, where it states: This forum is not intended for site analysis or spam accusations. HayMeadows Posted April 9, 2004 Author Posted April 9, 2004 Myer's Internet Our client is very concerned about this and has asked that I try and get a better answer. If anyone can help that would be very much appreciated. He really needs to stay with myers and is using them because of the back end processing of the data. Almost everything else about the site is HIS, not Myers. This site really doesn't fall into the duplicate content listings by any of Dmoz's standards. Opinion please....should he move away from Myers?
kctipton Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 Your client's site = only-interest-mortgage.com as well, but neither is listed at this time. Are you sure they don't already have a listing in ODP under another address?
spectregunner Posted April 10, 2004 Posted April 10, 2004 Opinion please....should he move away from Myers? That is not for us to say.
HayMeadows Posted April 12, 2004 Author Posted April 12, 2004 Your client's site = only-interest-mortgage.com as well, but neither is listed at this time. Are you sure they don't already have a listing in ODP under another address? I see you looked at our site <g>. You'll find we have never submitted only-interest-mortgage to be listed, as we know this would be against ODP rules. Our client does not have anything listed in DMOZ. This is his bread winner, and the only one we will be submitting.
spectregunner Posted April 12, 2004 Posted April 12, 2004 You'll find we have never submitted only-interest-mortgage to be listed Cuter, but that is not what you were asked. This is what you were asked: Are you sure they don't already have a listing in ODP under another address? Which, as you can see, is a vastly idfferent question and it makes us collectively wonder why it was not answered.
HayMeadows Posted April 12, 2004 Author Posted April 12, 2004 Cuter, but that is not what you were asked. This is what you were asked: Which, as you can see, is a vastly idfferent question and it makes us collectively wonder why it was not answered. No, they do not have another listing in Dmoz under ANY domain or company name.
