The discussions were in the internal editors' forums. It would hardly be fair to discuss changing the editors' guidelines elsewhere.

Your concept of "value" may well be something other than the ODP uses; this is not the place to discuss competing systems of values. But within the ODP, information is The Value. So anonymity is not something that ever makes a site more likely to be listable. In OUR valuations, attribution is always more valuable than anonymity, because it's MORE INFORMATION -- and generally significant information.

Oh I understand that, but if "reps" sites are automatically rejected, a site where the author cannot be identified should automatically not be considered for rejection under that basis, should it not?

From experience I know that being a "representative" and "not hiding who you are" have no relation which each other. It is clear from our guidelines which sites we don't list under MLM (or anywhere else in the directory). These guidelines are not open for discussion.

OK. Enough. We're not going to get into a debate over what makes a listable site in that category, nor do we want to stray into further discussions about whether or not your site in particular is appropriate for the category. You've suggested your site. If it is listable, someone will eventually review it and list it. That's really all you can do.

For that reason, I'm closing this thread -- please do not start up another one about this category or your site. Thanks.
