Hi ppl,
Just one more clarification :
Can I submit a website of business brockerage in Toronto(for example) that provides business for sale listings and business consulting services to
"Shopping: Classifieds: Business to Business: Businesses for Sale"
or "Business: Real Estate: Commercial: Business Brokers" categories
AND to regional category "Regional: North America: Canada: Ontario: Localities: T: Toronto: Business and Economy: Real Estate: Commercial and Industrial" ?

ThanX

Yes, Shopping or Business (but not both) and (if an office address is available on the site) the locality in Regional where the office is based.

Hope this helps.

Real estate agents' sites are listed in Regional only. But as a general principle, it is not unreasonable to consider whether a site might contribute something to both a Regional and Topical category.

Thanks for a quick response.
I'd like to ask for a favor: to take a look on the website and give your opinion on can or cannot it be submitted to both "Business" and "Regional" categories.

No, that would constitute a mini review and that is expressly what we do not do in this forum.

You, more than anyone else know the content of your website. Use your best judgement.

spectregunner: You're right, I’m a person that knows best what is content on my site.
My concern is not to do something to be considered as a spammer (which is not true completely) on one hand and to do maximum for my client - on another. So I asked for this favor from people that know and understand the rules of DMOZ best (as far as I know).
But thanx anyway.
old_crone: I'll read it with a pleasure, but I need to login to somewhere I don't have pass :)

I have an another question further to it

Dear Sir/Madam

I have a city based site with a number of existing sections related to the city and more and more will be added in due course alongwith enriching the existing sections too. All this section, in my perception of course, may fit to your different categories.

However, instead of waiting for till I complete, if I submit the site atleast under the category specific to the city now, can I expect the new sections will be eventually added to respective categories in future or what procedure I am to follow then ?

I will look forward to your valued answer.

With warm regards

You can confidently expect the new sections NOT to be added, whatever you do or don't do. A site is basically never listed in parent and child categories -- if it's in the parent category any knowledgeable surfer will already expect that it may be relevant to the child category.

You could have figured this out, and can verify it, by picking a large reputable directory (don't be a piker, go straight for Yahoo!) and checking how many, say, New York City categories Yahoo's categories are listed in....
