Maybe you can tell me who I hurt, and why, by searching the way I do.

Look, *if* you were banned for your search methods, I'm sure you'll manage to get yourself banned again (and again) so it really doesn't matter.

"Wanton disregard for fellow users" ... "malicious attempts to get around thoroughly justified ban" ... "impressively inefficient way to waste resources while NOT finding most of the relevant listed sites"

Yes, with that kind of attitude, and that kind of ignorance, pretty much anything you're able and willing to do will be considered abuse.

So can I read from this that you cannot tell me who I hurt, and why, by searching the way I do ?

A suggestion:

Download the RDF.
Pour it into a local database.
Do as many searches as you wish on that local copy.

That's what the RDF is for.

It may be that the system is being too sensitive. It may be that you're being heavy handed. I wouldn't put my opinion behind either without looking further.

If you drop me a note via http://dmoz.org/cgi-bin/send.cgi?toeditor=rpfuller of your details (IP address and how many searches you're doing (e.g. 5/minute)) I'll get it looked at.

(Edited to fix the link to point to the public side feedback form.)
