It does look like your question has been sufficiently answered. Feel free to compile a list of other sites which you believe violate the affiliate links guideline and forward it to any editall or meta-editor.

I won't compile a list of sites i feel are not suitable, what do i know i thought mine was suitable..

The respect comes from the fact google uses the categories in their directory, without that ?? <img src="/images/icons/smirk.gif" alt="" />

I think you'll find you're no longer in Google's Web Directory category either: http://directory.google.com/Top/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Guides_and_Directories/ .

Aside from that, as editors we do not take account what our downstream data users do with our data. We edit for the ODP, not Google, Lycos or AOL.

I know i'm not it the google UK guide category, thats what started this whole thing off!!!!!

Seriously, i've heard enough and i've accepted that my site is out of the OD.. and thats the end of this thread. .
