how to change directory listings?

Unfortunately I think I we are beating a dead horse. You have had numerous editors tell you the same thing numerous different ways to try and make you understand. I cannot come up with anything else to say. You refuse to accept our definition of online shopping and that is fine. I humbly request that a moderator close this thread because the only place we can go from here is down.

It is my opinion the question has been answered. The site is not eligible for Shopping because it does not meet OUR requirements for Shopping. What else can we say? How can further discussion of this be beneficial?

Well I thank everyone for their posts. For the record no one has said really anything except for the rules are really unclear as to what a selling web site is. I am only trying to get my business listed in a category because SEO is a difficult business to master. I think I meet the requirements but respectfully bow out of this discussion if the matter has been closed.

Again, no hard feelings I am only trying to see where the definitions are. Thanks for all the posts and I hope we have made some issues a little clearer.

We have a very simple definition, which is in the quoted sources.

Our definition of "selling" is == "vending" but is NOT == "marketing", "advertising", or "promoting".

The Description of the Shopping category is pretty clear on what types of web sites belong in Shopping.

Shopping/ contains sites of which the primary focus is to allow the consumer to select and obtain goods and services over the Web. Common examples include:

Integrated online shopping-cart systems that allow the user to order directly over the Web

Online shopping-cart systems that allow the user to generate an order form to be sent to the merchant via fax or mail

Simple directories of products and prices that the user can order via mail or phone.
