I'm afraid the only answer is that it takes as long as it takes -- it could be days or it could be years. You will not receive notification of any kind when it's reviewed.

Then if I wont have any notification, when do you suggest to submit it again?

Mistake detected but noway of change it.

Hello there,

My site has been in DMOZ for a 10 years period. Some months ago the there was a change of owner of the shop and I had to change the name and description of my url, just in that point one editor by mistake marked my url as a "mirror site" of my first competitor. I did not know it and I tried to submit my site again in DMOZ with no success because being marked as a "mirror site" every time I submit it the editor reject it, he is not checking it again, he drop it everytime. I don't know the editor and I have no way to contact him, who can help me please?

Trying to do a better DMOZ...... Xavi

The same answers as goive before still apply.

> and I tried to submit my site again in DMOZ with no success
Did you get an error while suggesting the site?
No, than your submission was a succes.
As said before when and by whom the site will be reviewed can not predicted.
Your previous posts are from around 2 months ago. 2 months between suggesting a site and it being reviewed is not exceptional. It can take somewhere between a few days and several years.

> every time I submit it the editor reject it, he is not checking it again, he drop it everytime.
How do you know?

> I don't know the editor and I have no way to contact him, who can help me please?
The same answers as before still apply.

You have been pointed several times to our guidelines and FAQ.
These clearly indicate
- suggest a site only ONCE
- suggest it to the ONE best category
- do not suggest sites that are related to each other or have the same content

So my advise is to stop suggesting your sites (yes, sites).

>Yes I could submit it but it's rejected for "mirror site".
Yes, I know it can take some time but it's still marked as a mirror site and that's te reason of no review.
>I know it because one editor told me the situation.
>My site was suggested to the best category and it's not a mirror site, it was marked as a mirror site by mistake and nobody wants to check it again.

I don't know how I can put things more clearly than this:

- We don't discuss individual websites here.

- You've been advised to suggest your website again with an explanatory note and you say you've done so.

- Some volunteer will evaluate that suggestion in time and include your explanatory note in that evaluation. We can't predict who or when that will be.

- Either your website is listable and we'll list it, or it isn't and we won't.

There's no point badgering us here or saying that we aren't interested. Neither will affect the time scale to evaluation or outcome in the slightest.

It seems to me that this thread has gone as far as it can do so I'm closing it. Do not open another one on the same topic.
