Hi Pulkit,
You should have received an email confirmation link to click - without that, we humans can't see your application :(
Have a look in your spam folder for a mail from noreply@dmoz.org - if you can find it and click the link your application be received, otherwise you'll need to start over...

It means that we (the reviewers) can't see your application to review it! You'll have to try again; success (for making the application) gives an email with a confirmation link you need to click...
The failed attempts remain in the server logs for some time, which can cause errors - let us know when you've got the email and clicked the link, and we'll confirm that the application is visible to us.
Also let us know if no mail arrives after your application, or if the form throws an error and we'll try to locate the bug.

Your willingness to volunteer is greatly appreciated and perhaps we will be able to utilize your talent in the future. You only suggested two sites, one of which is your own forum.
{ mate i suggested that in random and believe me those were in best in category and you can search for better i bet, yes i suggested since it is perfect for the given category}

Your forum may well be listable but not until it has around 10K posts
{ well it would had reached around but due to hosting issues , i had to start it again from 0 since Jan'2015}

and has been going for at least 18 months, or more. Forums need to show longevity before they are listed.
{Believe me I am fanatic about sanatana dharma and this forum will stay till i am alive. Can you please tell me what is the minimum longevity that would fit in ?}

If you wish to apply again, please use 3 new url's.
{yes i do wish to, Any Hinduism related section is ok for me. 3 urls are no problem for me. i know best websites on my finger tips but when it comes to forums there are very few}

if there are only a very few websites to list in a category than that category is not a good choice for a new editor

thats why majority of them are yahoo groups, many of which don't even work today.
I think other ways i.e. there is immediate requirement to get right person that can bring relevant websites/forums.
my question still remains due
Forums need to show longevity before they are listed.
how many years ?

The number of years is not realy relvant in my opinion.
The level of activity is.
A forum with 1000 posts in 10 years is not active.
A forum with 1000 posts in its first month is active.

Please do not attempt to change your website in order to be listed in the Directory. Your questions are beginning to border on personalized advice for your site, which we do not do here. If you wish to become an editor, it is imperative that you be able to read, understand and follow the directions and advice given during the process of filling out an application, and in any rejection letter you receive. This is important, as editors need to have such skills in order to do their volunteer work in the Directory.

Well i am not changing website, I am just asking for suggestions, so as to know what is lacking.
come on advising shouldn't be problem thou favors should be.. I being a staunch Hindu will never ask for any unethical thing..:)
well I did but since you guys have immense experience , there nothing wrong in getting something out of it.
what is the minimum age the website would need in order to get listed in the listings ?
Rest I agree...

It is not about ethical or unethical questions.
It is about all questions about specific websites.
If we answer questions about your website we must answer questions from all other people about their website as we threaten everybody and every website the same.
For that reason we have decided to answer no such questions.

There is no fixed rule bor a minumum age or fixed amount of content.

This is why we are human edited rather than by machines - it enables an editor to look at the site and decide if it has sufficient content to warrant listing in the directory from a variety of perspectives, not just by the numbers...

We don't do site status requests on these forums, just answer general issues.
Suggestions are held indefinitely until review by a volunteer editor, so no need to re-suggest it.
