Not a real good idea to ever let your domain get parked at a registrar. Not for an hour or 48 hours.

Also it should be noted that once a site is found parked and removed from the public listings, if it is later re-reviewed and found to be working it will be thoroughly rechecked to make sure that it is still listable and belonging in the category it was originally placed.

It seems funny: somehow it's OK to artificially inflate a website's value by giving it a listing that it noway deserves, so the owner can profit by selling it, but it's not OK to debunk an unfairly over-valued site so the owner doesn't get an unjust profit off the project?

That's just evil, and I would be proud to do ANYTHING I could, to cooperate with ANYBODY, to prevent the volunteers' work being used for unjust enrichment. And so, once again, thanks to ANYONE who helps us hunt out the evil webmasters who are trying to sell parked domains for extra money because of inappropriate ODP listings.

Another important thing to remember is that We do not seek a site owner's permission beofre we list a site, and we are absolutely under no oblication to seek a site owners permission, guidance or counsel before removing a site.

Thus, the idea that we should enter into a discussion with a site owner prior to delisting a site is a non-starter.

The decision tree is quite simple:

1. Does the site work?
No. Goto 4.
Yes. Goto 2
2. Does the site meet our guidelines?
No. Goto 4
Yes. Goto 3
3. Write a proper title and desciption and list the site.
Goto 5.
4. Do not list the site, de-list it if it is already listed.
Goto 5.
5. Go on to the next site to review.
Goto 1.

I can tell you the reason why this guy "jonathanpark"is so “helpful”
He looks for the expired domain names on different forums (domains that are dmoz listed, google pr, back links) and ask owners for ridiculously cheap prices. If they sell – everything is ok and if not – he contacts you and you - delete the listing. So eventually you all a working as a team, even if you don’t understand it.
I wouldn’t be too proud of such a member of community if I were you.

99Online,

I am not a domain buyer as you mentioned. My intention is to help to maintain the quality of Google directory. That's all.
