Several re-submits over several years and still nothing

How odd.
I posted a reply (saw it in preview) and now it has been deleted.

Anyway, nea said what I did.

Humen edited directory

Please tell me why this is a human edited directory, when you are the editors and we are the humans and every time there is a discussion about anything we all turn into to people that we are not supposed to be.. This project is a political mess and i hope we can all see the light at the end of the tunnel. at the end of the day i wish all you the best and the best you can be.


Please tell me why i submitted my site to a category with 5 dead links .

As you the editor and me the human i have done my part.. i have researched my category wrote a descriptive title and submitted unique content.


Many sights listed in my category are not unique at all.

I am not a genius and do not claim to be what i will say is i am civil and seen enough in my life to say what i see on this discussion board is silly.

I have seen many conflicts in many different places around the world. I am part of a team as you are and do understand you must stick together .
i think some editors here have a god complex..

let me leave you with this ....... i can liken some editors here like this..Handing a monkey a machine gun..

I submitted my Real Estate and Loans web site five years ago and it’s true my web site was never listed. Last year I was the most popular site in Los Angeles on the internet for loan/real estate and again my site was still not listed on DMOZ (ranked five on google). It's not true that they look for popular site that users would like to see. It looks to me like they randomly pick sites with a bias. Who knows why and what that bias is towards but that’s how it sounds. Today I have six different sites and all of them are not listed and yes I submitted all of them two years ago.

I agree with you that something is wrong with a directory that lists a web site with no ranking on google and does not list my site which ranks on google at six today. That’s really crazy to me that a directory that claims to be a resource for the end user and does not consider web sites that everyone else thinks are useful and relevant.

Again I just wanted to support you in your argument that this directory is not what they say it is.

Why is it wrong for a directory to list a site just because it's google ranking is poor? Did google take over the world without me knowing? DMOZ is about listing quality sites, google is about listing every site, good and bad. I'm not saying your sites are bad, because I don't know what they are. It can take time for an editor to get to your submissions, it just depends how many editors have an interest in the category you have submitted to. I know there are a couple of hundred editors who can edit anywhere, but they would still have to decide to look at that category.

Why not try and become an editor for that category? As long as you can remain impartial and state any sites you have a connection to, then this may be the quickest way to get your sites on DMOZ.

There are a number of indistinguishable real estate sites. If you (pickupwaste) have one of them, perhaps we've listed another.
