It is very doubtful that your site has been lost. Per the FAQ at the top of this forum, we no longer provide site status checks.

Sites are evaluated per unique content and contribution to the category. You can take a look at our Guidelines at http://www.dmoz.org/guidelines/ and see if your site qualifies. You'll note that no mention is made of the number of visitors to the site because we don't use that to evaluate a site.

You may have misunderstood the purpose of the ODP. We are not a listing service for webmasters or owners. We are a group of volunteers who are building a directory. Though we appreciate site suggestions, they are not the only source of listings, and frequently are a very poor source due to spamming by webmasters and SEOs. Thank you for submitting your site, but we have no idea of when an editor will evaluate suggestions in that category. Times range from zero (when an editor adds a site which was never suggested) to several years.

As far as what to do regarding ODP? Since you have already suggested your site, there is nothing else for you to do. As far as your site? Pretend that ODP doesn't exist and promote your site via other means.

Astral, so far as the ODP is concerned, you've finished: you've given all the help you can! If it IS a help, an editor will appreciate it (someday--but we don't know when).

Beyond that, we really don't know anything that would help you decide what to do next--except it wouldn't have anything to do with the Open Directory.

But here's a rule I would use, that will help you focus on what really matters: After you've suggested the site a couple of times at most, assume the site will never be listed in the Open Directory. Then figure out what to do.

And go do that immediately, because that will be the right thing to do if the site isn't listed (obviously). And the site obviously isn't listed right now.

But it will also be the right thing to do if the site IS ever listed--whenever that happens to be.
