How long???

Not wanting to hassle anybody (just to save me logging in every few hours to see if there's an answer), does anyone know how long it normally takes for an answer to the state of your submission to be posted????

Well, when the request is formatted correctly, and the link is fully clickable, then we usually respond within a half a day.

If the link is not completely clickable, sometimes we tweak the poster and tell them to read the posting guidelines they were supposed to read.

Sometimes, when we get busy, we simply ignore improperly formatted requests on the theory that if the submitter is not willing to make the effort to read the guidelines, we'll focus our time on helping someone who is willing to read and comply with the posting guidelines.

Am I to assume????

Am I to assume from the manner of your response that I have inadvertantly aroused the displeasure of the moderators?

I did read the rules prior to posting and also looked at a number of previous posts to ensure that I didn't mess us!

However if I have done wrong then I humbly crawl on hands and knees begging forgiveness and words of wisdom from the all knowing as to how I should correct the error of my ways (ie what the heck did I do wrong???)

If the site failed to load, I'm afraid that there's not a lot that I can do there, apart from obtaining a new (purchased) domain name and a faster host provider - which I intend to do!. It is there though and working correctly (at least when I checked it 30 secs ago).

So aside from that - is the site likely to be listed or am I required to do major surgery on it first?

I appreciate that the guys (& gals :D ) who review the submissions are only volunteers etc etc etc, but as the catagory I'm after currently only has a handfull of sites in, and I cannot believe that there are that many waiting to be reviewed, can anybody give me a guess at how long I'm likely to have to wait???

Is there actually currently a reviewer for this catagory?
How do I find out if a catagory has a reviewer??

Really sorry to bug you guys but it's the not knowing whats actually happening that makes it hard to bear!

URL update

Having noted the problems with loading that you guys seems to have suffered, I went and got my own domain name rather than the free web site address (plus it does away with the ads!).

Is it possible therefore for this submission to have it's URL updated to

http://shekou.china-direct-online.com

or do I have to re-submit???

You'll help us most by doing the following:
(1) resubmit the OLD url with a description "replaced by new URL xxx.com"
(2) submit the NEW URL with your actual suggested description; no additional communication with the editor will be necessary.

Current status: waiting review.

I think you did a good job in the submissions making it clear which one you want listed. But may I suggest that you get the freewebpage.org one pointing obviously to the china-direct-online one? That will help the editor even more when s/he gets to it. Right now they just look like mirrors.

My apologies, I hadn't noted the last post. I will wait and in the mean time do what you suggest... or at least try to - learning as I go along pretty much..... would it be better if I deleted the freepage one or just put a straight link from it???

and thanks, it's a motto that I live life by and generally stands me in good stead :D
