Why can't my web site be listed?

If you're having trouble grasping the application of the concept of "unique content", the best way is (of course) the same way editors learn: review a few thousand (listed) sites, pick out two or three that seem not listable, and ask about them (in the quality feedback forum.) Explain why you think the sites contain insufficient unique content, and editors will (generally quickly) either remove the listing or give a more detailed explanation.

hutcheson,

Yes, you are correct and I can't fault the process you mention. Some sort of guideline has to be adhered to. That is as good as any. I was blinded to thinking no guidelines existed at DMOZ by the sheer weight of other incoherent editors other than yourself.

And I put my hands up too. I have created some spam sites in the past. It is a good job they never found their way into the directory. I have you people to thank for that. You saved the internet community from some questionable material.

Keep up the good work. You are the only editor in this forum that has something to say and to be understood and accepted. :D
