Just answering the location of the apply to be an editor
http://dmoz.org/cgi-bin/apply.cgi?w...s_and_Collectibles/Clocks_and_Watches/Watches

However, that category may be considered too large for a first time editor. A suggestion is often made to start by applying for a small Regional category to get the experience, and then move up to something else.

[And I realize you were joking about the watch deal - but around here it's like throwing match at a pool of gasoline]

I hang around http://www.tz-uk.com/forum/index.php and you might find some leads with some people there, they seem to have large piles of money to spend :p

Staus on www.antiquewatchco.com

Hello:
I have submitted my site twice - www.antiquewatchco.com

Submitted to:

http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Antiques_and_Collectibles/Clocks_and_Watches/

I believe that it has been rejected, but for the life of me, do not know why. It was accepted in the Georgia Regional category, and remains there in good standing. I cannot fix what I don't know is broken. I have made every effort to follow ODP's guidlines, and to my knowledge fit all of the criteria listed in the Shopping FAQ. Please help me determine why my site is being rejected.

Regards,
Paul Vaughn

A quick review of your site reveals that it does meet the requirements of a listing in Shopping. Whether it did meet the requirements back then, I can't say. If so, mistakes do happen here too.

To apologize or not, I have added it to be reviewed in the watches category .

Please check back after 6 months and hopefully you will be astonished and see it listed.

Hello raggedyrugs:
Thank you for your efforts. I sincerely appreciate the work and the thought. Actually, nothing on the site has changed with the exception of updating inventory. If it's one thing that I have learned in my year-long dealings with ODP, it's patience X 10.

Thank you again,
Paul
