The problem Schwing is with the huge backlog in some areas of ODP, it can take over a year before a site gets reviewed. That's just the way things are.

OMG! Google does that to me. When people type in "shwing," it says "Did you mean: schwing?"

As if either one is a real word. The closest they both come to meaning anything is that they are some people's last names.

I am shwing, hear me whimper...

Well, when I see "shwing" (however you want to spell it), the first thing that comes to mind is Mike Myers and Wayne's World.

It does conjure up the Wayne's world exclamation. I tried very hard to build a site that was far removed from that - avoiding extreme pop culture which would have been the easiest way to go with a name like that. :}

I watched a movie called "the Merchants of Cool" and made up my mind to move from that model.

I used to get a lot of hits from adult sites -- users thought they'd find some shwinging stuff or something. I guess because shwing.dk used to be one of those sites.

"Schwing" is a German word (the imperative singular of "schwingen" = "(to) swing"). "Swing yourself on your bicycle!" would be "Schwing dich auf dein Fahrrad!" in German.

It's not 6 months yet - (about three) but I'm checking to see if there is any possibility that Shwing would ever get listed in my life time. It's been a really long time...

I think I have good news.

There is a site called Shwing in Arts/Directories/Regional/North_America

You might not be able to see it because the ODP has not updated its public side data for a while, but I assure you it is there.

Looks to be a nice site too. Keep up the good work.
