Troubles logging in to editor account

the "editor forums" and resource-zone.com the same thing??
"http://forums.dmoz.org/forum/login.php" returns : "You have specified an incorrect or inactive username, or an invalid password" still me.

No they are not the same.
On the editor forum you will have to login with your editor name and password.
On resource zone you will have to login with R-Z name and password.
Name on both forums will most probably the same, for security reasons it is best to have different passwords for the seperate systems.

I am an editor with generalguru user, have been for several years. I cannot login to the editor forums:
"You have specified an incorrect or inactive username, or an invalid password."
My overall question is that submissions to my category are not appearing in the editor panel to review. One person, who emailed me directly, said they posted several times. I tried to post a test link too and nothing appeared in the review panel.
So my goal is to get access to the editor forum to post the question about why listings are not being submitted.

I also receive the same "Request should be HTTPS." error when trying to login. The value displayed in the browser window as the url with an issue is:

I have tried using both chrome and firefox with the same result.

I have resented the password a few times. Could it be because account was suspended and reinstated?
Separately, I'm awaiting approval to edit a new category. Any idea how long approval takes?

OK, two things to look at your side: 1/ your username needs to be all lowercase 2/ if your browser remembers username/password pairs, reset that one in case it's using something wrong.
From the DMOZ side, we'll reset the forum account in case it hasn't synced properly.
