@preeti - it was human reviewed and a suitable form letter used as a reply... By following the advice given therein, you may have better luck next time :)

The "application received" is the proof it made it into the queue. See here for what to do next (and when to do it) :)

I am having the same issues as stated in these threads,

opendir - 8798b14eeec960b5b3e5bf4b1fd20331

"Your Open Directory editor application could not be confirmed.
The error received was:
Can't find your authentication ticket"

username: designer
Category: http://www.dmoz.org/Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Authoring/Style_and_Design/

I also tried the example that trendylady gave on Aug 15 2009 but it doesn't work for me :(

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

"Can't find your authentication ticket" means your application is queued normally. In other words a confirmation mail attempt got through. :)

Thank you for your reply.

So that means that one of my confirmation e-mails got through and I am on a waiting list to possibly become an editor?

Same problem.... help

I too have made numerous attempts to respond by e-mail to apply@dmoz.org to complete the verification registration process and get my application to become an editor processed. Every attempt is returned as undeliverable. Please help. Thank you.

Please keep trying at intervals until you get a more sensible reply. That's what worked for everybody else in this thread :).

Hi pdmhfx, the simplest thing you can do is resend the confirmation until you get any response other than "Relaying denied"

Application confirmation email bounces back

There's another thread on this topic, and I apologize for opening a new one, but my efforts to reply to the current thread have proven fruitless. I applied to be an editor, got the email requesting that I "reply" to confirm my email address, and I get the error message below. Any suggestions for next steps would be appreciated!

when replying you have to take the RE: off the front or you will receive an error message about the email being undeliverable ....take that off and resend and you should have no issue after that ....hope it helps ...jaela

In all the testing I've done, the RE or FW etc. hasn't been an issue - it's just that the mail bounces a random number of times, from 1 to 30ish - just resend the mail one instance at a time, receive the "Relaying denied", resend - until you get either a success message or "can't find your ticket" - both of these indicate it worked.
